The Mighty Niagara Half Marathon has gone global. Runners from countries around the world, including England, Ireland, Mexico, Germany, Austria and Ethiopia, will soon travel to Western New York to "run with the river" in this one-of-a-kind race that has grown tremendously since its 2009 inception.

The Lewiston Community Lions is offering local U.S. veterans a special opportunity to serve their community. The "Involve a U.S. Veteran" program is a nationwide initiative sponsored by Lions Clubs International that offers qualified U.S. veterans an entrance fee waiver when joining a local Lions Club. The offer runs through June 2016.
