For just the second time in 36 years, Niagara University will hold its commencement ceremonies on Monteagle Ridge. Since moving graduation off-campus in 1976, in favor of more spacious locales such as the former Niagara Falls Convention Center and the University at Buffalo, the only time that commencement has occurred at NU was during its sesquicentennial in May 2006.

The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department and the Lewiston Museum invite the public to an encore showing of historic photos of Lewiston's citizens. Last fall, this collection of more than 120 photos was shown in the Red Brick Municipal Building. The Recreation Department is thrilled to be able to do an encore presentation of " People of Lewiston" on Sunday, April 29, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Red Brick gym, located at North Fourth and Onondaga streets.

The Mount St. Mary's Hospital Foundation will hold its second annual "Reverse Draw" Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 9, at The Como Restaurant, 2220 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls. The event is the continuation of an event that, for 34 years, was conducted by Temple Beth Israel. Last year, the leadership of the temple bestowed the fundraiser to Mount St. Mary's.
