While the Village of Lewiston has tabled plans to build a new, multimillion-dollar recreation center, trustees have opted to go forward with a previously scheduled public forum. Those for and against the idea (or possible locations) are invited to attend a 6 p.m. meeting tonight in the Red Brick Municipal Building gym, 145 N. Fourth St.
Architect David Giusiana will present the plateau design, which was first unveiled on Friday. Mayor Terry Collesano will read a prepared statement, and trustees will add all comments to the public record.

Despite a press release late Thursday afternoon stating WTS President and CEO Gary Hall has elected to pull his proposed recreation center out of Lewiston, officials in the village are still confident a deal can be reached. For some it was a year of high expectations, some achieved. For others it might have been frustrations, possibly loss. You can say one thing though - we were all impacted by the events that occurred in the last year in some form or another.
