Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, State Sen, George Maziarz, R-C-Newfane, Town of Lewiston Councilman Mike Marra, and Lewiston Supervisor Steve Reiter met Wednesday with New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Rose Harvey to discuss several plans to make much-needed short and long-term improvements to Niagara Falls State Park, Joseph Davis State Park and state parks throughout the Niagara Region.
Ceretto blasts majority for regional discrimination

Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, blasted the Assembly Majority on Monday for denying an up or down vote by the entire Assembly on legislation that would return state lands currently receiving property tax exemptions back to Niagara County's tax rolls. The bill, which was delivered a setback in the Rules Committee, which is controlled by New York City Assembly members, was rejected along party lines.
Ceretto: Daredevil bill will attract tourists to Falls

Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, is sponsoring legislation to allow Nik Wallenda to traverse the Niagara Falls River Gorge on a high wire. Ceretto said the event will promote tourism and increase local revenue for the region.

Wheatfield native Dave Pignato was recently hired as Fuccillo's newest manager in the Hyundai dealership. As the sales manager, Pignato has to fulfill many responsibilities, such as overseeing the new and used car department as well as the finance department. George Maziarz, R-C-Newfane, have arranged a meeting with New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Rose Harvey to discuss the condition of Niagara Falls State Park and what steps can be made to address this issue before the height of the summer tourism season. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 15.
