Lewiston Board busy at regular meeting

With its summer schedule approaching (no work sessions in June, July and August), the Lewiston Town Board got down to business on a number of items at its Thursday regular meeting. Among them:
Expanded: Paladino says Village of Lewiston equally responsible for plaza delays

As reported in last week's Sentinel, delays in construction of a new plaza on Center Street in Lewiston led the Zoning Board of Appeals to rule previously granted variances had expired. The ZBA's unanimous opinion is that construction should've begun on the project within one year of the granting of eight village code modifications - by late July 2017.
USAF Blue Aces to perform in Lewiston

Moog: NYPA board approves funding in support of 150 jobs in Western New York

The New York Power Authority board of trustees has approved $1.6 million in funding to Moog, one of the world's leading manufacturers of precision control components and systems with locations in Wheatfield and Elma in Western New York. The funding supports the company's creation of 100 jobs and the retention of 50 jobs in Niagara and Erie counties, and is directly tied to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's May 2017 announcement that the firm would be expanding in Western New York.
