AAA: More Americans willing to ride in fully self-driving cars

American drivers are beginning to embrace self-driving vehicles, according to a new study from AAA. The annual survey reveals 63 percent of U.S. drivers report feeling afraid to ride in a fully self-driving vehicle, a significant decrease from 78 percent in early 2017. Millennial and male drivers are the most trusting of autonomous technologies, with only half reporting they would be afraid to ride in a self-driving car.

Building America, a wholly owned affiliate of the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, announced $9 million of New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) for Northland Central, which includes a cutting-edge facility that will annually train 300 local workers to fill quality jobs in the modernized manufacturing sector. Another $5 million in NMTCs will come from the National Trust Community Investment Corp. (NTCIC).

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos on Monday announced DEC has completed its comprehensive investigation of the Niagara Sanitation Landfill in the Town of Wheatfield. Results of expanded surface soil, subsurface soil and groundwater sampling conducted at properties both on- and off-site, indicate landfill contaminants do not present an off-site exposure concern to neighboring properties.
