Rose Chiropractic readies for 28th annual 'Doctors with a Heart Day'

From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 10, Dr. Glenda R. Rose and Dr. Thomas G. Barba of Rose Chiropractic P.C. in Lewiston will sponsoring the 28th annual "Doctors with a Heart Day" for their patients. Nonperishable food items will be collected to benefit the Niagara Community Action Program (NiaCAP) food pantry in exchange for chiropractic services.
EPIC receives $5,000 from Kelly for Kids

EPIC - Every Person Influences Children - announced it received $5,000 from the Kelly for Kids Foundation. This donation will fund two EPIC car seat safety events in 2018. These events will include a car seat safety class, a car seat safety checking station, and the replacement of any damaged, recalled or expired car seats, as well as the distribution of car seats to those who don't even have one for their child(ren).

Collins introduces legislation to address lack of high-speed internet in rural communities

Congressman Chris Collins, R-NY-27, on Tuesday introduced legislation that would create a national federal registry of communications infrastructure to help address the lack of high-speed internet access in rural areas. This registry will help determine which assets are available for lease to better expand access, and will facilitate coordination between federal, state and local governments, as well as between carriers.
Schneiderman files suit to stop 'illegal' rollback of net neutrality

On Tuesday, New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman led a coalition of 22 attorneys general in filing a multistate lawsuit to block what he called the Federal Communications Commission's illegal rollback of net neutrality. The coalition filed a petition for review in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, formally commencing the lawsuit against the FCC and the federal government.
