DEC announces statewide survey of freshwater anglers

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced anglers who purchased a freshwater fishing license between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2017, may be asked to participate in a survey designed to learn more about their angling behaviors, preferences and opinions on fisheries management issues.

dick clark productions and ABC announced TV/radio broadcaster Ryan Seacrest will return to host television's largest live broadcast New Year's celebration, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018," again joined by actress and comedian Jenny McCarthy. America's largest celebration of the year will take place on Sunday, Dec. 31, beginning at 8 p.m. EST on The ABC Television Network.
Intern opportunities announced at Niagara Hospice

Collins thanks 2017 'Holiday Mail for Veterans' participants

Prior to Christmas weekend, Congressman Chris Collins released the following statement offering his appreciation to elementary school students, businesses and community organizations from around the 27th district for participating in his "Holiday Mail for Veterans" program. The annual Youngstown/Town of Porter Community Holiday Baskets project has been declared a great success this year. Scores of volunteers worked a village-townwide collection campaign from Dec. 11-16 at the Red Brick Village Center gym. Through the efforts and the donations of many, 50 families received food boxes, and over 90 children received clothing and toy items.
