Artpark & Company's "Family Movie Night" series celebrates its 10th year as a popular summer tradition in 2017. The August event is attended by several hundred families, and typically features Academy Award-winning movies for free viewing in Artpark's Outdoor Amphitheater.

The New York State Office is Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) on Monday announced the grand opening of BestSelf Recovery Community and Outreach Center in Buffalo. The center will provide free support programs and services for Western New York residents in recovery from addiction.

Wild Kritters of Niagara County has been tending to wounded mammals, birds and reptiles for more than a decade. The organization is licensed by New York State and U.S. Fish and Wildlife to rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife. Its goal is to get the animals back into the wild, healthy, as soon as possible.
