The Historic Riviera Theatre is saddened to hear of the passing of movie icon Gene Wilder. To pay tribute to Wilder, the Historic Riviera Theatre will feature "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" (1971) at 5 p.m. and "Blazing Saddles" (1974) at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, on the venue's silver screen.

The New York State Office of Mental Health today announced applications are being accepted for the Doctors Across New York (DANY) Psychiatrist Loan Repayment Program. This incentive offers up to $150,000 in tax-free reimbursement for psychiatrists with active student loan debt who agree to serve at a New York State Office of Mental Health psychiatric center for at least five years.

The 15th annual Historic Lewiston Jazz Festival brought tens of thousands of people to the Village of Lewiston over the weekend. Live jazz music could be heard across five stages, while food vendors offered delicious samples of restaurant fare. The weekend also included a large jewelry tent sale and educational initiatives.
