In 2013, Community Missions provided 75,980 meals to those in need in Niagara County. With demand again increasing in 2014, the Patrick P. Lee Foundation has awarded a $30,000 grant, covering a year's worth of food purchases within agency's soup kitchen.

Mount St. Mary's Hospital will hold its 12th annual "River Run" Saturday, June 21. The USATF-sanctioned 5K run/2-mile walk starts at 9 a.m. The course starts and ends at the Red Brick Municipal Building in the Village of Lewiston, with a main portion of the course following Lower River Road in Lewiston.

A total of 23 pilots have filmed in New York, yielding an estimated $127 million in spending and an estimated 15,915 jobs, compared to 23 pilots filmed with an estimated $117 million in spending and an estimated 13,150 jobs in all of 2013.
