Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, and his Assembly colleagues voted Monday to protect New Yorkers' personal information from overzealous employers. Assembly Bill 9654 passed with overwhelming support to ensure that personal information on electronic devices stays personal.

Niagara University's Institute of Applied Learning, an arm of its College of Education, is offering a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Camp for girls in grades 7 to 9. The camp runs Aug. 13 to 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

The "Road Bros," one of Rand McNally/USA Today's Best Small Towns in America travel teams, will receive a police escort down Center Street to a gathering at The Silo Restaurant. There, they'll find a "rousing welcome."

Friday night, with the eyes of the world watching, daredevil Nik Wallenda successfully walked a high wire across Niagara Falls. Wallenda began his trek from Niagara Falls, N.Y., at about 10:15 p.m., and finished about 10:45 p.m. in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

School in Lewiston, and the Community Charter School and Elmwood Village Charter School in Buffalo are joining daredevil Nik Wallenda and his team Thursday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. for a unique, behind the scenes look at the science behind his historic walk across Niagara Falls. The event is taking place at the walk site, Terrapin Point on Goat Island, and also includes a student Q-and-A opportunity with Wallenda and representatives from the companies that built and set up the walk's rigging.
