With the number of women in the Niagara County Legislature rebounding from a low of one to an all-time high of four, a bi-partisan group of female county lawmakers will announce the formation of the Legislature's Women's Caucus at a press conference prior to Tuesday night's Legislature meeting in Lockport.

A community service commemorating the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, which took more than 3,000 lives, will take place at Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 8:30 a.m. This service will honor all first responders who willingly gave their time and lives so that others might live.

The centerpiece of the new 9/11 exhibit is a stunning "Attic Window Quilt" made by Linda Hunter of Lockport.

Buffalo Bisons Manager Tim Teufel joined Dunkin' Donuts franchisees Thursday night to donate 312 pounds of coffee to the Food Bank of Western New York. The donation - the equivalent of 15,600 cups of coffee - was fueled by a season-long partnership between the team and Dunkin' Donuts.

Niagara University announces Carrie McLaughlin has been named the new dean of students following a nationwide search. McLaughlin comes to Niagara after five years as the director of student life at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. She will begin her new position on Monday, Sept. 12.
