Santa coming to Adams

Paul DePlato, of 2430 Washington St., in Bergholz, claims the lighting display in front of his house is the largest one in Niagara County. Plus, youngsters who visit the display on Saturday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 18, between 6 and 8 p.m. will have a chance to deliver their holiday wishes directly to Santa Claus.

Robert H. Healy, a 30-year member of the United States Air Force, has been named veterans services coordinator at Niagara University. In this role, Healy will be responsible for developing and implementing university strategy for increasing and retaining current and former military students and their family members, and developing relationships with local, regional and national military and veteran organizations to create recruiting support conduits.

The Los Angeles lineup includes performances by Jennifer Hudson, Willow Smith, Ne-Yo, Avril Lavigne, Drake, Jason Derulo, La Roux, Mike Posner, Natasha Bedingfield, Far East Movement and Train.

Village clarifies WJBT sale

The Village of Lewiston has clarified what was sold in its recent transaction with Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours. On Nov. 15, a 197.23-foot parcel of property was sold for $1. Of that land, 101.15 feet is actually under the Water Street Landing restaurant, and not in front of the building.

Lewiston Town Board to discuss master plan

The Town of Lewiston announced this week it will hold a Comprehensive Plan update session with representatives of Wendel Duchscherer Engineers on Thursday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. at Lewiston Town Hall. Town Supervisor Steve Reiter, along with Town Board members, town attorneys, the town building inspector, plus the town's planning, zoning and environmental chairs, are all expected to attend the meeting, which will discuss the town's master plan. The session is open to the public.
