The eighth season of "So You Think You Can Dance" came to an exciting conclusion Wednesday as Melanie Moore, 19, a contemporary dancer from Marietta, Ga., was named America's favorite dancer and awarded a cash prize of $250,000. She will be featured on the cover of Dance Spirit magazine, and will be recognized as a Gatorade athlete on www.gatorade.com and in the new G Series FIT print campaign.

NBC's top-rated summer series, "America's Got Talent," announced today the 12 acts from the YouTube online auditions that will perform live for the first time on Tuesday, Aug. 9 (9-11 p.m. ET). Last season's runner-up, young opera sensation Jackie Evancho, auditioned through YouTube and her recent debut album "Dream with Me" was just certified gold.
