USA Network has announced the pickup of two original scripted series, "A Legal Mind" and "Necessary Roughness," as it expands on the "Characters Welcome" brand and increases its programming slate to a record number of scripted originals for the network. The live touring sensation Video Games Live will debut new music from the highly acclaimed Xbox 360 exclusive video game "Halo: Reach." The award-winning music from the latest game in the "Halo" series was composed by Marty O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, who have been with the franchise since the beginning. The highly successful musical theater apprenticeship program instituted last summer will be extended for Artpark's August production of "Fame - The Musical" this summer. The apprenticeship program provides an opportunity for up to eight high school music theater students of exceptional talent to participate in the company's Broadway musical production. Artpark will present the high energy musical that appropriately focuses on the hopes and aspirations of a group of students attending New York City's High School of Performing Arts, in the Mainstage Theater Aug. 12-18 for eight performances.
