Empire State Development announces Frank Lloyd Wright's Historic Graycliff to move visitor center project forward

Empire State Development (ESD) announced the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Graycliff Estate will be adding a new visitor center to complement the recently renovated historic home and surrounding property, improving the 8-acre site's visitor experience, and better telling the story of Darwin and Isabelle Martin's spectacular summer home on Lake Erie.

The award, the highest honor the organization bestows, was presented to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell during ceremonies celebrating the founding of the American Heart Association.

At the time, heart disease was considered a death sentence: There was no treatment, no hope. These founders believed that better understanding of heart disease would lead to treatments and lives saved.

The vivid bright greens inside The Plant Shack were accompanied by myriad colors Saturday afternoon, as the shop hosted the third annual "Paintings & Pottery" event. Art from 130 Niagara Wheatfield High School students filled the Lewiston store as the culmination of six studio in art and ceramics classes.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Irish manufacturer Niacet Specialty Chemicals, owned by the Kerry Group, will invest $50 million in its Niagara Falls facility to strengthen the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain in New York. The company, whose products are used in food preservation as well as in the semiconductor manufacturing process, will make an investment at its existing facility in Niagara Falls, increasing its production and creating 36 new, high-paying jobs.
