The New York State Office of Mental Health and Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services announced today that New York has been awarded a federal planning grant of $982,373 to strengthen its community-based mental health care and substance use disorder programs through the development of new certified community behavioral health clinics (CCBHC) in pilot sites across the state.

Niagara University announced today that an independent investigation into allegations of Title IX violations has concluded. The inquiry, conducted by the Buffalo law firm Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria LLP, found the university and its personnel fully complied with the law in all matters and provided support, counsel and resources where appropriate.

Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today announced his office has entered into an agreement with the former Shimshack's Restaurant, formerly located on Upper Mountain Road in Sanborn. Shimshack's went out of business in October 2015 and consumers filed complaints with the attorney general's office over unused gift card balances that had not yet been refunded.
