On Saturday, July 12, at approximately 9:08 p.m., Niagara Falls Fire Department responded to an alarm that smoke was coming from Michael's Restaurant at 3011 Pine Ave. Crews entered the rear of the building to extinguish the fire.

An immediate search of the area commenced using Park Police drone, vessel, foot searches of the gorge, and visual searches from overlooks.
