In an effort to provide holiday meals to hungry community members, 97 Rock, Kaleida Health, WKBW-TV Channel 7 Eyewitness News and FeedMore WNY are teaming up for the 14th annual "Operation: Rock Out Hunger." The weeklong holiday food and fund drive will be held from 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, through 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital parking lot, 1540 Maple Road, Williamsville.

Building on the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation's lawsuit against the International Joint Commission, Attorney General Letitia James and Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo today filed an expanded lawsuit on behalf of New York state against the IJC for failing to implement its flood protocol for the Moses-Saunders Power Dam.

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul and New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner Erik Kulleseid today showcased 20 shoreline resiliency projects in Niagara and Orleans counties that are receiving an estimated $49 million in state funding through Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's Lake Ontario Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative (REDI). The projects were reviewed at a meeting of the Niagara and Orleans REDI Region Planning Committee, which includes local elected officials and other stakeholders.

After losing to the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons early in the season, 5-0, the Lewiston-Porter Lancers boys soccer team chances of winning the Niagara Frontier League finals Wednesday night may have seemed slim to some.
The Lancers were quick to prove the doubters wrong, though, as Lewiston-Porter defeated the Falcons, 1-0, to clinch the program's first NFL title since 2010.
