Gov. Kathy Hochul announced people who want to experience a rare total solar eclipse in April 2024 can stay at seven State Park campgrounds that will open for the event. Her team said an early opening will help accommodate an expected influx of visitors heading to several regions of the state to witness the celestial event.

Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. on Friday announced the christening of the "Big Kahuna," a new tiki tour boat docked at Canalside. The newly built, multi-hulled boat is the latest to be added to the fleet of Buffalo Boat Tours. It will carry passengers on daily scenic Buffalo waterfront trips.
