Sean Ryan joined representatives from several local arts and cultural organizations at the Buffalo History Museum to announce the state budget for fiscal year 2022-23 includes $20 million in new aid for cultural institutions in upstate New York, in addition to more than $40 million in operating aid for these organizations throughout the state.

A shoreline protection program is currently underway in the West River near Buckhorn Island State Park. Dan Dinsmore, field superintendent for LDC Construction, said the Grand Island company, owned by Lyle Dinsmore, is doing the project for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
