Catholic Health broke ground Tuesday on the new Lockport Memorial Hospital, which will become an eastern campus of Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Kathy Hochul announced digital COVID-19 vaccination credentials issued from Canadian provinces and territories that adhere to SMART Health Cards specifications will immediately be accepted through the state's Excelsior Pass scanner application. Following the reopening of the U.S.-Canadian border, this means fully vaccinated Canadians can use their compatible vaccination credentials for business entry in New York.

Lewiston residents Rani (Somayaji) and Dennis Salemi recently opened Research and Design inside the former HSBC Bank on Center Street. The interior redesign is, quite frankly, shocking, as the space that once housed teller windows, cubicles and a conference room now boasts a mural; an open retail design with designer clothing, shoes and jewelry; and a children's room brimming with toys and Lewiston-branded shirts.
