Erie County earns credit rating upgrade

Wall Street rating agency Fitch Ratings has upgraded Erie County's credit rating from "A" to "A+" and commented favorably on the county's fiscal management. Fitch's announcement follows a three-step rating upgrade by Standard & Poor's in September 2014.

The Buffalo Sabres have announced the team will open its training camp on Thursday, Sept. 17, when veteran players are expected to report for testing and physicals.
