Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino regrets to announce the cancellation of the Nov. 29 Diana Krall concert in the Seneca Events Center. The five-time Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist and singer has been forced to cancel the entire U.S. leg of her "Wallflower World Tour," which was to kick off Nov. 7.

Koelmel and Global Spectrum's Ryan Coate, general manager of Canalside, have announced plans for the inaugural HARBORCENTER Fall Festival @ Canalside, Saturday, Oct. 11, through Monday, Oct. 13. Officials at the Seneca Niagara Resorts & Casinos assure travelers to Niagara Falls that Exit 21, which leads to the Robert Moses Parkway on-ramp, remains open to traffic. Department of Transportation signs on the northbound Interstate 190 indicate Exit 21 to Buffalo Avenue is closed; however, the exit can still be taken to enter the Robert Moses Parkway.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced a new, 1 million-square-foot site for the future SolarCity GigaFactory facility, which will manufacture solar panels at the RiverBend site in South Buffalo. The governor was in Buffalo to officially break ground on the project, which will create more than 3,000 jobs in Western New York alone, and a total of nearly 5,000 jobs in the state. The SolarCity facility will be the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, with more than 1 gigawatt of annual solar capacity when it reaches full production.
"We said four years ago that we have to change the mentality of Buffalo, and every day since we have been working hard to continue this new energy and momentum in Western New York," Cuomo said.
