Stella Niagara Education Park sixth grade students Lucy Ebbole and Ella Colbus entered their science fair projects in the Niagara County Fair held July 30 through Aug. 3. They both received blue ribbons for their projects and were recommended for the New York State Fair, which was held in Syracuse in early September.

Last Saturday, she was back in a special appearance to reintroduce the gypsy spirit at the Lewiston Cemetery next to First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston in the person of her grandson, Maxime Alexandrovich Belov.

The Old Stone Chimney, the oldest stone structure on the upper lakes, marked the southern end of the Niagara Portage. Lewistonians know the legacy of the Portage and the Lower Landing as well as anyone, yet the Old Stone Chimney, virtually hidden since 1962, is shrouded in mystery.
