The second annual RTB basketball tournament will be held at the Wilson School Gymnasium on Sunday, Oct. 27, beginning at 1 p.m. RTB stands for "Reason to Believe ... in each other." Two Episcopal churches, St. John's in Wilson and St. Andrew's in Burt, are co-sponsoring this event to benefit Niagara Hospice programs for children and youth.

Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School recently held its annual walk-a-thon, "Car Smash," after-walk picnic, and dodgeball games as a kick-off to Homecoming Week. Students in grades 7 through 12, along with faculty and staff, were able to enjoy a rally, followed by a seven-mile walk to raise funds for their school expenses.

Empire State Development's board of directors met today in New York City and approved $6.1 million in funding for projects that will create more than 70 new jobs and retain nearly 300 jobs throughout the Empire State. This funding will leverage more than $244 million in additional investments to support business growth and lay the groundwork for future economic growth and job creation.
