The New York State Builders Association 2013 fall board meetings will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, and Friday, Sept. 20, at the Conference & Events Center Niagara Falls. The Niagara County Builders Association looks forward to hosting the event and its participants.
A highlight of the event is a speech Thursday by Elliot Eisenberg, Ph.D., a nationally acclaimed economist and public speaker. He will address the group during an 11:45 a.m. luncheon.

Dr. and Mrs. James G. Conley will be the featured honorees at the 14th annual "Good Works 'Great Gatsby' Gala" of the Mount St. Mary's Foundation. The sold-out, black-tie event will be held Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Niagara Falls Country Club, 505 Mountain View Drive, Lewiston. The proceeds raised from this year's event will be dedicated to the purchase of new cardiac monitors for the hospital.

It's debatable how well we journalists actually know the actors and actresses we interview. But to me, Dayo Okeniyi seems like a nice guy. He appears to be intelligent and a hard worker. He loves his mother and he's trying to be an inspiration for those in his home country of Nigeria.
And yet, for some strange reason, I keep watching Dayo die on screen.

Assemblyman John Ceretto is applauding the tentative agreement to approve the proposal for a new hotel in downtown Niagara Falls. The Hamister Hotel project now will be able to move forward because Niagara Falls Councilman Robert Anderson Jr. announced he will vote in favor of the hotel deal.

On Monday afternoon, Niagara Falls City Councilman Bob Anderson said he would vote in favor of developer Mark Hamister's proposal to build a $25 million hotel in downtown Niagara Falls. The project is now expected to have the necessary number of votes to gain approval.
