The fifth annual Jonathon Cote Memorial Motorcycle Ride and Fundraiser takes place Sunday, Aug. 4, with sign-ups starting at 11 a.m. at Williamsville North High School, Dodge Road in Amherst. The ride honors Cote, a U.S. Army veteran who lost his life while working as a private security contractor in Iraq in 2006.

The Respite Program, a nonprofit organization, provides time away to rest and renew for single mothers with low incomes, grandmothers raising their grandchildren, and women with cancer.
