And as Kathryn Bone of the Kenmore Huntington Learning Center says, "Many students who did fine with basic reading, writing and math may experience problems as subjects become more complex."

YMCA Buffalo Niagara has announces that online registration for the 117th annual YMCA Turkey Trot is now available. The race, held Thanksgiving morning (Thursday, Nov. 22) continues to be a sold out event every year. The Town of Lewiston has news with regards to the Academy Park ice rink operations for the upcoming winter season. Leading off, the town reported at its Oct. 22 meeting it had reached agreement with national operator Ice Rinks 2 Go to manage a 60-day operation schedule for this winter at the Academy Park rink.

Recently, the Eyes on America Foundation, led by cataract surgeon Dr. Kenneth D. Anthone of Amherst, together with Mount St. Mary's anesthesiologist Dr. Jack Huebschmann of Youngstown, donated 20 cataract surgeries for Western New York patients without health insurance.
