'Ghostly Gatherings' on Friday the 13th

The Friday the 13th "Ghostly Gatherings" event in Lewiston takes place next weekend. Sponsored by Tour d'Elegance of Niagara, the Friday-Saturday event includes horse-drawn carriage rides along Center Street, a performance by the Lewiston Council on the Arts/Marble Orchard Players in the Presbyterian Cemetery, a wine tasting at Savory Sips and more.
World premiere comedy at Ghostlight Theatre

The world premiere comedy "Regrets Only," by L. Don Swartz, will be presented at the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda. The show is on stage May 3 at 7 p.m.; May 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m.; and on May 20 at 2 p.m.

"Regrets Only" features Joann V. Mis and Debby Koszelak Swartz as two grumpy Polish ladies, Lottie and Bernice, who crash a wedding reception and turn the celebration into a hysterical nightmare. "Regrets Only" is the fifth installment of the popular "Lottie & Bernice" series, following "Get Off My Cabbage," "The Lottie & Bernice Show," "Here We Sit" and "Danse Macabre."

Dunkin' Donuts will support efforts to cure muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by collecting donations in its Buffalo-area restaurants to benefit the MDA through the "Make a Muscle, Make a Difference" campaign.

The initiative will run from April 8 through April 18 at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants throughout the greater Buffalo area.

The NFL today announced the national television schedule for the 2012 preseason, which includes two "Sunday Night Football" games on NBC. NFTA reaches agreement with Funtime for summer concerts at outer harbor

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced today that it has reached a licensing agreement with Funtime After Dark LLC to be the NFTA's waterfront concert promoter for the 2012 summer season.

Funtime plans on using the seven-acre site located on the outer harbor in the vicinity of the former Pier Restaurant to hold concerts from a variety of musical genres, including alternative, Canadian, southern and folk rock. Ticket prices will range from $30 pre-sale to $100 for a VIP ticket. Parking charges will range from $5 to $10.
