NBC News announces Meredith Vieira has been named to a new role as special correspondent for "Rock Center with Brian Williams," the new primetime newsmagazine led by Brian Williams. She will contribute her signature reporting for the broadcast, as well as report for "Today," "NBC Nightly News" and other NBC News programs. Vieira will additionally contribute to special network programming, including the 2012 London Olympic Games.

NBC announced today that Emmy-nominated talk show "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" will pack up and travel to the Midwest for sports' biggest event of the year, Super Bowl XLVI. In its regular 12:35 a.m. time slot, "Late Night" will air from Indianapolis Wednesday, Feb. 1, Thursday, Feb. 2, and Friday, Feb. 3, 2012.

Jim Brickman's "A Christmas Celebration" (www.JimBrickman.com) hits the road for the holiday season with an evening of dazzling solo piano, vibrant vocals, and the warmth and humor that has made this concert a seasonal tradition for the past 15 years. The five-time platinum-selling pianist and songwriter, with his special guests, perform in Buffalo on Friday, Dec. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts. The picture, staring Christian Bale and directed by Christopher Nolan, follows the success of "The Dark Knight," which was the third largest financial grossing movie of all time. With a returning cast and crew from the original movies (including "Batman Begins"), "The Dark Knight Rises" is sure to be the blockbuster hit of the 2012 summer season.

The 2011 "Every Step" Walk to benefit the Hunter's Hope Foundation will take place at Martin's Fantasy Island on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 17. Walk participants will raise money for Hunter's Hope by following a route that leads them through the Grand Island park's landscaped grounds, around the carousel and children's rides, up the Western Street, and down the midway.
