RRG recipient of $5,500 grant from Freshwater Future

The Porter citizens environmental group Residents for Responsible Government announced this week it was awarded a $5,500 grant from Freshwater Future. Geared for the protection of the watershed in Niagara County, the $5,500 grant is to help RRG organize community opposition to any expansion of the Chemical Waste Management hazardous waste landfill in the Town of Porter, said Wendy Swearingen, RRG president.
