A total of 120 cars filled the pit area last Friday night for night No. 1 of King of the Hill weekend. Beginning on Thursday night, campers began to arrive for the 19th annual event, bringing to a close the 2010 season at the Big R. The Friday event hosted the Sportsman, Streetstocks, 4 Bangers, Firehall Enduro, and Micro Sprints presented by PJ Trailer Sales.
27th annual Harvest Fest and Craft Show this weekend

Celebrate the beginning of autumn in the historic Village of Lewiston with the work of Western New York's most talented crafters and jewelry artists this weekend. The 27th annual Lewiston Harvest Festival and Craft Show will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25, and Sunday, Sept. 26, along Center Street. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and is free and open to the public.
Lewiston Dog Park opens on plateau

Capping off months of discussion and planning by the Lewiston Dog Owners Group and the Town and Village of Lewiston, the new Lewiston Dog Park officially opened for use last Saturday -- much to the delight of several area residents who stopped by throughout the day to try out the new, 1.3-acre facility on the Lewiston plateau at Artpark.
