Fun for all at Olde Sanborn Days

On Saturday, July 10, and Sunday, July 11, Olde Sanborn Days will return for its annual family fun and entertainment from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Sanborn Fire Co. on Route 429. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Niagara County and will include food, beverages, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a bounce house for children.
Fillmore Chapel welcomes first female pastor

Our society's gender roles are constantly changing. Women are taking more leadership roles in various areas of the community. This includes religious institutions. Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church in Ransomville has just appointed a new pastor following the retirement of the Rev. Les Drayer. Anne Cole will serve as Fillmore Chapel's first female pastor.

Old Fort Niagara under siege

Old Fort Niagara is preparing for war this Independence Day weekend when hundreds of re-enactors from across New York state and the Northeast recreate the 1759 siege of Fort Niagara with one of the historic site's most popular and largest events - the French & Indian War Encampment. The Encampment runs Saturday, July 3, through Monday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
