The Circle of Hope program of Niagara Hospice will hold its 10th Camp Hope for grieving children Aug. 27-29 at the YMCA's Camp Kenan in Barker. Offered to children throughout Western New York who have lost a loved one through death - regardless of hospice care - the camp is free for children ages 7 to 13.

A total of 100 cars signed in for competition June 4 at Ransomville Speedway. Mother Nature proved not to be a friend as light showers hit the area just as the hot lap session came to a close. Big R management forged on, and was able to complete the entire racing program in less than two-and-a-half hours amidst on and off moisture.

Friday, May 28, was a stellar night at the Big R, as over 100 cars jammed the pit area for the fourth straight week. Labatt and National Maintenance Contracting Corporation presented a 50-lap Mighty Taco Modified main event in addition to a complete show of Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstocks, and Bobcat of Buffalo Firehall Enduros. Picture perfect weather greeted the 2,000-plus race fans in attendance as they witnessed plenty of side-by-side racing action throughout the night.
