Buffalo may be the "City of Good Neighbors" but, just north in Niagara Falls, couples have been meeting, marrying and honeymooning for at least over 200 years. It was future U.S. Vice President Aaron Burr's daughter who put Niagara Falls on the map as the "Honeymoon Capital of the World," but the real reason why coupling may be occurring against the backdrop of a world wonder may have more to do with science than beautiful scenery.

Produced by Live Nation, "The Future Past Tour" begins May 28 in San Jose, California, and includes a local stop at CMAC in Canandaigua on Sept. 3, and another on Sept. 9 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

A new version of Steven Curtis Chapman's current single, "Don't Lose Heart," is set to release Feb. 17 (Provident Label Group/Sony Music) and features Mitchell Tenpenny. Gov. Kathy Hochul on Wednesday announced $100 million in state funding has been released to support the renewal of roadways impacted by extreme weather. The funding supports repaving projects at 64 locations, totaling almost 520 lane miles of pavement, and "complements the record level of investment in infrastructure across New York state."

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 26-year-old Yassin A. Abdikadir of Buffalo pleaded guilty Tuesday morning before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of grand larceny in the second degree (class "C" felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest charge in the indictment against him.
