Buffalo Waterfront announces full 'Ice at Canalside' schedule

With two weeks to go before Opening Day, Buffalo Waterfront released the full winter schedule for the Ice at Canalside, presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. This year will feature fun celebrations and programming with weekly "Festive Fridays" and "Special Event Saturdays." Favorites such as the ice bumper cars, curling, ice bikes and the ice train all return for the season, as the largest rink in New York opens for its 12th year.

"Light the Way for Lucia," a fundraiser for Lucia Spiritosanto, will take place Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Evening Star, 8810 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls. The event begins with a basket raffle at 1 p.m., and continues with all-ages music from 2-8 p.m. The benefit also will include food and a 50/50 drawing.
