Children's art group self-publishes picture book with proceeds going to Save-A-Pet Niagara

Seven of Lazy Creek Art's students, ranging from 6-9 years old, recently collaborated to create a self-published picture book titled "Kitty." On June 5, the young artists presented Save-A-Pet Niagara of Newfane with a $100 check from the initial proceeds from their publication.

Memorial announces outpatient nutrition program

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will now offer a nutrition program in the Summit Orthopaedic Center, located in suite 700 of the Summit Healthplex (6934 Williams Road, Niagara Falls). Starting June 8, outpatient registered dietitian Diana Korzhukova, M.S., R.D., C.D.N., will see patients at the center for nutrition counseling every Wednesday.

The Center for Exploratory & Perceptual Arts has received $17,114 from the Peter & Elizabeth Tower Foundation. These funds will be dedicated to enhancing and expanding upon Alternative Perspectives, CEPA's program for individuals on the autism spectrum. Through photography workshops and hands-on training for individuals on the spectrum, CEPA will serve more than 40 individuals on the spectrum.
