Community Bank N.A. to support American Diabetes Association's 'Project Power'

"Project Power" is the initiative of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) with the aim to slow the trajectory of childhood obesity through health promotion, nutrition education, increased physical activity, and family involvement for elementary school-aged youth to help prevent obesity, type 2 diabetes, and the complications of diabetes. Community Bank N.A. has committed to support the ADA and virtual "Project Power" in the City of Buffalo.

New York Power Authority fishing piers to open for season

New York Power Authority fishing facilities including the fishing pier at the base of NYPA's Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant will open for the season Friday, April 1, weather and water levels permitting. The fish cleaning station and handicap access elevator at the dam site will also be available if temperatures remain above freezing.

Kathy Hochul and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz on Monday announced an agreement between New York state, Erie County and the NFL's Buffalo Bills franchise for a $1.4 billion new stadium in Orchard Park. Hochul's negotiations secured a 30-year commitment for the Bills to remain in Buffalo, and a combined $550 million from the NFL and Bills - approved by the NFL owners.
Higgins: $17 million-plus in federal funding for WNY hospitals

While discussing potential candidates, the committee said it was important to "find an individual who truly encapsulates the spirit of Dyngus Day. After a great deal of deliberation, there was really only one person who fit the bill, and his name is 'Bozo.' "

In that period of time, she said her neighbors have been unable to enjoy their backyards because of persistent drainage issues and copious amounts of standing water. "I'm just thankful that I have a raised little concrete patio that I am able to sit on. If it weren't for that little patio, I would have not been able to sit in the backyard at all."
