Gov. Kathy Hochul announced New York is distributing nearly $24 million in federal funding to domestic violence programs and shelters, sexual assault programs, and rape crisis centers. The funding will help these programs expand on-site coronavirus testing and vaccination availability, offset fiscal challenges caused by the pandemic, better reach underserved communities, and support the recent uptick in survivors seeking help.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the newest employees of the state's SNUG Street Outreach program will be deployed to sites in Albany, Buffalo, Hempstead, Mt. Vernon, Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Rochester, Syracuse, Troy and Yonkers. Hochul met with the new staff and delivered virtual remarks at the team training on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz provided an update on Erie County investments taking shape under his administration's RENEW Plan, one year after the passage of President Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan for State and Local Recovery (ARP), which provided counties and cities nationwide with funding for a wide variety of investments to aid in recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles helped customers recover titles when dealerships closed abruptly, assisted people to get repairs or refunds, and in some cases, dealerships bought back vehicles to settle disputes.
