"Live in Front of a Studio Audience: 'The Facts of Life' and 'Diff'rent Strokes' " rounds out its star-studded cast ahead of the live special airing on ABC, Tuesday, Dec. 7 (8-9:30 p.m. EST). In this one-night-only event, an all-star lineup of talent will tackle the roles first portrayed in the iconic television sitcom "The Facts of Life," including Jennifer Aniston playing the role of Blair, Gabrielle Union taking on the role of Tootie, Allison Tolman who will play Natalie, and Kathryn Hahn recreating the role of Jo.

The Giving Project has once again teamed up with Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Reed in a campaign benefiting The Andre Reed Foundation. The "VIP Experience with Andre Reed" allows fans to enter for their chance to tailgate and attend the Buffalo Bills' "Monday Night Football" game on Dec. 6 with Reed, who was a wide receiver with the Bills for 15 seasons.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Buffalo's Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood and the City of North Tonawanda will receive $10 million each in funding as the Western New York region winners of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative. As part of DRI round 5, each of the state's 10 regional economic development regions are being awarded $20 million, to make for a total state commitment of $200 million in funding and investments to help communities boost their post COVID-19 economies by transforming downtowns into vibrant neighborhoods.

The Lock City Sound, formerly known as the Lock City Glee Club, will perform a collection of Christmas and seasonal music this December to brighten and lighten hearts. This men's choral group has been welcoming the holidays with song for over 50 years with traditional and modern versions of seasonal favorites. Lock City Sound is currently under the direction of Drew Burke with Debbie Hutter accompanying.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced changes aimed at encouraging more food-insecure older adults and disabled individuals to enroll in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The changes include simplifying the SNAP application, extending the duration these households can receive benefits before needing to recertify, and eliminating the need for them to complete an interview during the recertification process.

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday announced "urgent action" to boost hospital capacity and address staffing shortages ahead of potential spikes in COVID-19 cases this upcoming winter. Through an executive order signed by Hochul, the Department of Health will be allowed to limit nonessential, nonurgent procedures for in-hospitals or systems with limited capacity to protect access to critical health care services.

The Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday announced the team, in partnership with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, will again take part in the NHL's "Hockey Fights Cancer" program during the team's home game against the Seattle Kraken at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29. As part of an NHL-wide initiative to raise money and awareness for cancer research, the Sabres will host events throughout the night in support of local cancer patients and their charitable organizations. All fans attending the game will receive a Sabres "Hockey Fights Cancer" scarf.
