Shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday morning, Niagara Falls Police Department responded to 1028 South Ave., for a report of an unresponsive man found in the hallway. Upon arrival, an officer located a deceased, 42-year-old Niagara Falls resident who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The Erie County Department of Health will be set up two community sites in Buffalo on Saturday, July 10, to provide COVID-19 vaccinations. These clinics will offer single-dose Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine for ages 18 and older, and the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine series for youth ages 12-17.

New York State Sen. Sean Ryan recently announced Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed into law Ryan's legislation (S.5992), which increases the amount of low-cost power available to small businesses and not-for-profit organizations through the New York Power Authority's "ReCharge NY" program. The amount of power available through the program has risen from 100 megawatts to 150 megawatts.

As dedicated federal restaurant relief runs out, Congressman Brian Higgins is calling on Congress to move quickly to save jobs and prevent restaurants from having to close their doors. Higgins is cosponsoring the Restaurant Revitalization Fund Replenishment Act (H.R. 3807). The bipartisan legislation introduced in both the House and Senate would provide $60 billion in additional funding to fill the remaining need.
