From July 2-4, the French and Indian War Encampment will return to Old Fort Niagara. The three-day event will feature six battle reenactments, two living history camps, dozens of period artisans and merchants, artillery firing demonstrations and dramatic recreations of Native American diplomacy.

On June 3, Catholic Health was notified by a third-party pharmaceutical software vendor, CaptureRx, of a data breach that impacted patients from Mount St. Mary's and Sisters of Charity hospitals along with other local and national healthcare providers. The breach involved patient information, including name, date of birth and prescription data from files that were accessed on Feb. 6, 2021. No other identifying information such as demographic, social security number or bank account information was included in the data breach.

After a year without festivals, most concerts and large-scale events in general, the Lewiston Garden Club was the brave organization willing to take the first crack at staging a mass gathering in what we all hope is a post-coronavirus world. GardenFest returned to Center Street over the weekend, and drew attendees looking to bolster their gardens, plant flowers and admire the green thumb of residents who volunteered to show off their prized lawn configurations.
