On Friday, four-time Grammy-nominated, multi-Platinum-selling band Goo Goo Dolls announced North American tour dates for summer 2022. Set to kick off July 26 at USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah, the nationwide tour will see the band performing at notable outdoor venues including The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

Shared Mobility Inc. (SMI), a Western New York nonprofit organization, will serve as operator to the region's first e-bike library program, free to eligible participants interested in testing a new and innovative programming model. The E-Bike Library Project is a collaboration of partners, funders and residents to establish "e-bike libraries" through a community-led approach spearheaded by the Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative (CHNFC) and East Side Bike Club, a program of Buffalo United Front (BUF).

The program reimburses New York small businesses with grants of up to $50,000 for COVID-19-related expenses incurred between March 1, 2020, and April 1, 2021. Grants will be awarded to small and micro businesses and small for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations, with priority being given to socially and economically disadvantaged business owners, including minority- and women-owned business enterprises, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses and veteran-owned businesses, and businesses located in economically distressed communities.

In April 2020, the Albright-Knox's Public Art Initiative asked 16 local artists to respond to the initial lockdown requirements of the pandemic. To build community spirit, the museum sent artmaking materials to these artists at their home studios, and they worked to produce a 16-piece collaborative mural. The piece, now located at 43 W. Chippewa St., "speaks to individual and collective experiences of the pandemic."

On Monday, the Wheatfield Town Board issued a formal proclamation to Richard Muscatello, a beloved and admired figure, for his many years of work and dedicated service. Recently, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation served Cascades Containerboard Packaging Inc. a notice of violation after receiving numerous complaints from residents in the Town of Niagara, City of Niagara Falls and even as far away as Sanborn throughout the month of May. The agency said the company was in violation of Air Pollution Control Law, Article 19 of the Environmental Conservation Law (ECL).

USAF Civil Air Patrol cadets from the Niagara Falls Composite Squadron No. 1 will participate in raising the 15-foot stars and stripes at Stavatti's newly acquired facility at 9400 Porter Road in the Town of Niagara. The flag-raising, set for noon Sunday, June 13, will be the first time in more than 17 years that "Old Glory" is permanently flown from the 70-foot mast - since the former U.S. Army Reserve Center was closed and sold to the Town of Niagara.
