Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston will open Catholic Health's first monoclonal antibiotic therapy clinic for the treatment of COVID-19 beginning the week of Jan. 4. The outpatient clinic is designed for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days, and are 65 years of age or older or have other chronic medical conditions that could lead to hospitalization.

The Erie County "Back to Business" grant program has issued its final report on the program's accomplishments, showing a total of 1,399 Erie County small businesses receiving approximately $19.2 million in direct financial assistance from the U.S. CARES Act through a partnership between Erie County and 43 North.

Following an update by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) on COVID-19 quarantine requirements, the Erie County Department of Health has changed the time period for quarantine from 14 days to 10 days past last exposure.

He has been featured often in this newspaper for his donations to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce and local anglers. This week, he and his store went above and beyond, donating $15,000 to the Salvation Army for Christmas. Volunteers have been manning the red kettle during the holiday season.

During the first quarter of the new year, the Town of Grand Island's Planning Board and Town Board will be asked to review plans and vote on a 1.1-million-square-foot, 45-foot-high warehouse along the New York State Thruway I-190, which some are calling "the largest facility ever built on the Island."
