He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Loretta (Rigo) Reid; devoted father of Nicole Reid (Joshua Heit), Deborah Reid-McDonnell (Sean McDonnell), brother of Leland (Anna) Reid, uncle to John (Amy) Reid, and Richard Reid and Robert Marisa; brother-in-law to Luisa Rigo, Orlando Rigo, and Mario Marisa. He is also survived by loving extended family and friends.

United Way kicks off 2020 campaign

Last Friday, the United Way of Greater Niagara announced the start of its 2020 fundraising campaign at the Four Points Sheridan Hotel in Niagara Falls. The organization says this year's campaign, which will run through Nov. 30, is more critical than ever as community groups continue to struggle with the effects of COVID-19. Funds raised throughout will continue to support 29 agencies focused on a spectrum of human services throughout the Niagara Region.

The Town of Niagara Farmland Conservancy says it will file a lawsuit against the George Mannoe family, the former owners of a 26-acre parcel located on the east side of Miller Road after they decided to sell to another buyer, Alexis Johnson.
