Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday announced New York state will send the COVID-19 medication Remdesivir to Florida as the state struggles with a resurgence of cases. Florida is waiting for a further supply from the federal government and New York will provide enough Remdesivir to help the state care for 280 COVID-19 patients until the federal shipment arrives. New York's shipment of the medication will arrive in Florida tomorrow.

A team of Let's Goat Buffalo goats has deployed to the campus of iconic Silo City, one of Buffalo's most notable landmarks. The pilot project is aimed at eliminating invasive mugwort and is sponsored by the Western New York Land Conservancy as part of its ongoing effort to develop The Riverline in downtown Buffalo.

On July 6, the Wheatfield Town Board held its first public meeting at the Town Hall since it was shuttered in March due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Town Hall reopened July 15 with a slew of new safety precautions. Rows of seats in the courtroom have been taped off to ensure social distancing, and board members are spaced widely apart.
