On Monday, multi-Platinum, four-time Grammy-nominated rock band Goo Goo Dolls released a brand-new live video for their uplifting new single, "Fearless." The performance was filmed at the historic Kalamazoo State Theatre in Kalamazoo, Michigan, during the band's fall 2019 headlining tour in support of their 12th studio album, "Miracle Pill" (Warner Records). The flag is to be hoisted from sunrise to noon at half-staff to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. From noon to sunset, the flag is to be raised to full staff to honor our nations living heroes.

Erie County District Attorney John Flynn on Sunday afternoon announced the arrest of 10 people following a protest Saturday night in the City of Buffalo. He said his office is investigating general property damage in the downtown area, as well as arson at City Hall, and looting and property damage in Amherst and Kenmore.

The Western New York COVID-19 Community Response Fund, announced it has awarded nearly $1 million to an additional 47 nonprofit organizations, bringing the total grant amount from the fund to $6.6 million, supporting a total of 156 nonprofit organizations. This collaborative philanthropic effort was created in mid-March in response to the COVID-19 health crisis and has been coordinated by the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, Health Foundation for Western & Central New York, The John R. Oishei Foundation and the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.

As part of her capstone course, projects in public health, Niagara University senior Joy O'Brien decided to install Little Free Libraries throughout the City of Niagara Falls to increase and promote children's literacy. Working with her course professor, Dr. Mark Gallo, and their community partner, Brian Archie from Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative, O'Brien was well on her way to construct six libraries, which serve as neighborhood book exchanges and operate on a "take a book, leave a book" basis.

In New York state, 222 people were killed in crashes involving teen drivers during the "100 Deadliest Days" from 2008 to 2018. The "100 Deadliest Days" is the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day, when fatal teen crashes increase dramatically. The number of people killed in crashes involving teen drivers, in New York, during rest of the year is 382 (for a total of 604 from 2008 to 2018). 222 people killed in summer months compared to 382 killed during non-summer months, over the 10 years, is an increase of more than 70%. Moreover, 222 people killed in the summertime equates to a yearly average of 20.2 deaths.

Congressman Brian Higgins announced $34,561 to Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority (BMHA) and $65,073 to the City of Buffalo in federal funding to assist in providing affordable housing to non-elderly people living with disabilities through the Mainstream Housing Choice Voucher Program. This brings total affordable housing federal emergency relief supporting Buffalo residents to over $16 million: $3,044,512 for the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority and $13,120,017 for the City of Buffalo.
