NOCO Energy recently announced the creation of a sustainability division within its commercial and residential heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) business based in Akron. The Niagara County Community College Student Showcase has become an annual tradition, featuring students working with the help of faculty mentors to create projects highlighting every division on campus. In its third year, the showcase was not able to be held on campus due to COVID-19, but that did not stop organizers from pushing forward in a virtual format.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on Tuesday announced it is awarding $1.5 million in Partnership and Special Enforcement Effort funds to HUD Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP) agencies to support COVID-19 education activities. The funds are being provided through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) of 2020, which President Donald Trump signed into law to provide federal agencies with the resources needed to combat COVID-19.

The Village of Lewiston Board of Trustees unanimously approved the fiscal year 2020-21 budget on Monday. Residents will see an 8-cent increase in their property taxes, with a fee of $7.65 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. That equates to $12 more for a homeowner with a $150,000 property.

M&T Bank and KeyBank, in partnership with the First Niagara Foundation, have teamed up with Pegula Sports & Entertainment in its direct community aid initiative.
